Key Notes:
Larry only played in 2 games in his Major League career, but he made them special.  On October 4, 1972, he recorded his first hit when he got up to bat against Jim Lonborg.  As it turns out, it was the last hit by a pitcher before the designated hitter rule came into effect in 1973.  The ball now resides in Cooperstown.
