Ken was signed by the Cleveland Indians and traded to the Washington Senators in 1961. He played his entire major league career with the Senators. On September 6, 1963, he caught the first pitch of Major League Baseball's 100,000th game. The ball is now in the Hall of Fame. In 1964, he was traded to the Minnesota Twins but was never able to get back to the majors.
